JOHN GLENN HIGH SCHOOL
The following regulation has been adopted by the Wayne-Westland Community School District Board of Education: Entrance into high school grades shall be granted on the number of successfully completed credits, not upon the number of years spent in school. A student will be classified in the grade whose requirements s/he meets at the beginning of each school year. It is the expectation of the Wayne-Westland Community School District Board of Education that students will complete an approved academic program satisfying the current graduation requirements of 22credits in four years.
In order to be classified in a grade, the following minimum requirements must be met, starting with the Class of 2003:
• 9th Grade - Students must have completed middle school
• 10th Grade - Students must have successfully completed a minimum of
5 credits and two semesters of high school
• 11th Grade - Students must have successfully completed a minimum of
10 credits and four semesters of high school
• 12th Grade - Students must have successfully completed a minimum of
15 credits and six semesters of high school
A student will have the privileges of the grade level
in which they are classified.
